The score (27-24) was a true reflection of the game. The Saints had a clear advantage in terms of ball possession and rushing yards – the Eagles had a few big plays. I love watching this team play! They are so well coached, the play calling is right on, and the execution is excellent most of the time – keep in mind, there are a lot of young players on this team.

Go Saints!! You are America’s “new” team!

The score sort of says it all. It was a good old fashioned ass whipping, and it left no doubt in my mind that the Saints are for real. Home field advantage for the playoffs looks like a real good possibility, and maybe even a first week bye! (I hate counting chickens…..but I just can’t help it) This team is doing everything right, and the collective talent that is emerging (both players and coaches) is truly exciting.

I do have to give an honorable mention to Vince Young however, his winning 39 yard TD run in overtime yesterday took me right back to the Rose bowl last year. Way to go Vince!!

Bring on the playoffs!!
