I am guessing that all of Barack’s experience as the editor of the Harvard Law Review prepared him well for chairing this sort of meeting. He is a master of moderating this sort of debate, and it was a pleasure to watch how he handled the agenda and flow of the discussion without being too heavy-handed.

I heard and saw what I expected to see, and I was not disappointed in Barack. I have full confidence that he will get health reform passed, and it WILL include affordable options. Below are the videos of the entire day.

He discusses at length how we got here, what his administration is doing about it, and what his medium and long term strategy for recovery and future, sustainable, economic growth includes. He speaks directly to all of the major concerns and criticisms that have been leveled at him, and his plan, with thoughtful, well-informed discussions regarding the alternative plans that have been proposed, and their related merits and risks. If you are sincerely interested in what the Obama administration is already doing, and is planning to do, to fix our economy, then take the time to listen to this speech. Perhaps you will feel as reassured as I did after hearing what Obama had to say.

If you have seen him on Bill Moyers Journal, or Crossfire, then you know that he is intelligent, knowledgeable, and so fast-witted it makes your head spin. I cannot believe that Jim Cramer called Jon out, repeatedly referring to him as just a “comedian” on Morning Joe earlier this week, as though comedian was a dirty word. By the end of last night’s Daily Show interview with Jon Stewart, Cramer was referring to himself as just a “commentator”. If that is true, then who was writing his script?

I know that the rest of the American public is, and Stewart is making the mainstream news media organizations look like incompetent fools, at best.
