Brian Eno and David Byrne To Release New Album

Two of my favorite musicians, Brian Eno and David Byrne, are releasing a new album in the very near future. In fact, you can sign up to get a free song from the album on August 4. Just go to the Everything That Happens web site and sign up and they will let you know when it is available. David has a blog post up about the new record which provides some interesting background on how the record came into being. It seems that Bush of Ghosts was re-released in 2006, and it was at that time that Eno and David started to collaborate on writing some songs together, which eventually culminated in a new album. it’s not clear how they are going to distribute it, but it is complete except for the packaging and distribution method.

Finally, David is going to do a tour starting in September. Hope he comes to Austin! Here is the tour announcement video.
