I Don’t Recall…

“I don’t remember. I don’t recall.” Words from a Peter Gabriel song, and words that Alberto Gonzales said, by some accounts, as many as one hundred times today during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the firings of eight US Attorneys. You can view or listen to the proceedings at the C-SPAN site. It was hard to believe, listening to the answers that Gonzales was giving today, that he had spent a couple of weeks preparing for this hearing.

“I don’t remember…..I don’t recall.” That hardly seems like an appropriate answer to me.

My two cents is that AG is just the next person to take a fall for carrying out someone else’s agenda.
