Hooked on Second Life

With more and more political, social, and musical events taking place in Second Life, and interesting personalities showing up, I decided it was time to put a little more time and effort into my experience. Oh, and yes, more money as well. I upgraded my membership from basic to premium, and I bought a little piece of land so I have a place to hang out and practice various SL skills.

Ron also upgraded to a premium account, and we were married in SL. We have started building and landscaping on our parcel. It is somewhat challenging, but alot of fun also. And when we get tired of building things, we simply take off exploring and visiting new places.

It is addictive, and a blast. So much so, that I decided that I needed a new computer in order to obtain maximum enjoyment (my ThinkPad T40 is maxed out, and just doesn’t cut it any more….). Not sure when the new machine will arrive (it had to be customized – I needed XP Pro and not Vista), but once I get it cranking I will let you know if it lives up to my expectations.
